Your Kingdom Come
Sunday, 10 May 2009
Series:  The Lord's Prayer Speaker:  Pastor Stephan Turnbull
Passages:
  Matthew 6:5-14

Description:
Jesus taught his disciples a better way to pray. Prayer isn't about using lots of fancy words, Jesus said. Pryer isn't about offering special formulas o words to get God to do what you want. Jesus taught his disciples to pray "Your Kingdom come, Your will be done." Jesus taught his disciples to pray for God's wish list more than their own. One who prays as Jesus taught, in fact, takes God's wish list as their own. It is a prayer of surrender.

Lord, Teach Us to Pray
Sunday, 03 May 2009
Speaker:  Pastor Angie Way
Passages:
  Luke 11:1-4

Description:
Over these three Sundays in worship we will be unpacking Jesus’ prayer, and what it means for us to pray this prayer ourselves! Today we begin with the opening of this prayer, which brings into focus for us who it is we are actually addressing! What is Jesus teaching us about who God is when he instructs us to address God in this way? What does it tell us about the kind of relationship God wants us to have with Himself? Over this series we pray that your mind and heart may be enlightened to see the gift Jesus gave you in this prayer!

Finding Hope

Speaker:  Pastor Steve Turnbull
Passages:
  Matthew 28:1-6

Description:
If you were to rate the level of hope in your life right now on a scale of 1 to 10, how hopeful would you say that you are? If your hope levels are running low or you’ve placed you hope in something that has let you down, know this: the resurrection of Jesus is the hope of the world. As you hear the Easter story this morning, ask yourself where your hope is, and know that lasting hope can always be found in the resurrection of Jesus.
