Sunday, 31 August 2008
Speaker:
Pastor Angela Way
Passages:
Luke 24:13-35

In Jesus, we have a God who does not stand distant from us, but who chooses to walk alongside us; in life, in wrestling with faith, even in through death. As we live in the love he gives us, he also calls us to walk alongside others in faith.

The Narrow Door
Sunday, 10 August 2008
Speaker:
Pastor Stephan Turnbull
Passages:
Luke 13:6-9, 22-30
Description:
Jesus said to "stive to enter by the narrow door." Doesn't that sound awfully narrow and judgmental? This message explores Jesus' teachings about judgment to see how he turns us away from both fear and legalism and toward His own gracious love instead.
Freedom of the Sabbath
Sunday, 03 August 2008
Speaker:
Pastor Angela Way
Passages:
Luke 13:10-17
Description:
By healing a woman on the Sabbath Day, Jesus shows us God’s true intentions toward us. By Jesus’ sacrifice, under the new covenant of grace through his blood, we too are set free from the brokenness of this world to an eternal connection with our God. Jesus’ action of setting this woman free on the Sabbath points us to Jesus’ saving action for us. In Christ we celebrate a new Sabbath (on Sunday) because in his resurrection, Jesus freed us to know a new life!
Ready
Sunday, 27 July 2008
Speaker:
Turnbull
Passages:
Luke 12:35-40
Description:
It's good news that the Jesus is coming back, but why does it often feel like bad news? In this message we explore Jesus' teachings about His return and learn how he wants us to respond.
Word and Deed
Sunday, 20 July 2008
Speaker:
Pastor Steve Turnbull
Description:
Should Christians focus on telling people how to "get saved" or quietly show them the love of Jesus? To give the world real hope, both are necessary, and Jesus teaches this to his disciples.
She Could Not Go Unnoticed
Sunday, 13 July 2008
Speaker:
Pastor Angela Way
Passages:
Luke 8:40-56
Description:
Through Jesus’ encounters with a demoniac, a shy woman, and a desperate father we see God’s amazingly individual love for each human heart. Though the world may care little for us, in the presence of Jesus, we will never go unnoticed.
